SUNDAY 20 OCTOBER 2019 – 4.5 KM – KAPPARIA CIRCULAR ROUTE AND FEAST AT KAPPARIA

A 4.5 km hike along the lush wooded Kapparia Circular Route. A festival at Kapparia featuring local dishes and entertainment provided by the Kapparia Association
The hike starts at the village of Kapparia,where we descend to the village of Mousionas, with its impressive well-built stone houses – now deserted- towards the riverbed and church of Christ. From there we will walk through a natural area with rich vegetation and well-built drystone walls to find ourselves in the valley and an imposing village with magnificent stone ruins, before completing the circular uphill back to the starting point.
At the end of the hike, at around 1:30pm, a celebration at Kapparia, with music and regional dishes as well as a bazaar of local produce, hosted by the Kapparia Association.

Special Festival Buses will run to Kapparia, from Gavrio, Batsi, Chora and Ormos Korthi.
At the end of the hike, they return to Batsi ,Gavrio ,Ormos Korthi and Chora.
