A 6.4 km hike in South Andros through the foothills of the Rachi mountain range from Piso Meria to the Tromarchia Monastery. Local dishes.

Meeting time: 9.45 am – Meeting point : Ormos Korthi, roundabout at the entrance to town.
The day starts with a coach transfer from the meeting point in Ormos Korthi to the Tromarchia Monastery. After a short visit to the Monastery, the hike starts, walking north, enjoying the amazing views to the west of the island. We pass through the beautiful rural area of Piso Meria and return on the Circular route, with impressive panoramas back to the west coast and the wild scenery of the mountain range chequered with dry stone walls. As we walk, we can take the opportunity to help with path maintenance, by replacing missing way markers, pruning excess vegetation and improving the path by picking up fallen stones and placing them on adjacent dry stone walls.
At the end of the hike, lunch with local produce from the area.
Return is by coach from the Monastery to Ormos Korthi.
