A hike through the valley of Dipotamata, with its many watermills, passing the plateau of the Venetian Castle , Epano Kastro, through the picturesque settlements of Kochilou and Rogo and finishing in the beautiful Bay of Korthi.
Hiking meeting time: 9.45am
Meeting point: Chora, Vogiatzidi building
From the meeting point, we will be transported by coach to the start of the famous Dipotamata ravine. We will descend through an impressive cobbled path down to the riverbed with its arched bridges and stunning watermill ruins, enjoying the rugged landscape. If weather permits, the hike includes a 2 km detour to the Venetian Castle, Epano Kastro, to tour this archaeological site and enjoy the magnificent view of the rural landscape of Korthi. The hike continues through the picturesque settlement of Kochylou, the village of Rogo, finally reaching the scenic Korthi Bay.
