A 4.5 km hike along the lush wooded Kapparia Circular Route. A festival at Kapparia featuring local dishes and entertainment provided by the Kapparia Association
Meeting time: 9.45 am
Meeting point: Korthi Bay, roundabout at the seafront town entrance
From the meeting point coach transport takes us to the picturesque settlement of Kapparia where our hike begins. We will descend into the village of Mousionas , with its impressive well-built stone houses – now deserted- towards the riverbed and church of Christ. From there we will walk through a natural area with rich vegetation and well-built drystone walls to find ourselves in the valley and a imposing village with magnificent stone ruins, before completing the circular uphill back to the starting point.
At the end of the hike a celebration at Kapparia, with music and regional dishes as well as a fair of local produce, hosted by the Association of Kapparia.
